Ysidro R Lopez

Ysidro R. Lopez, 90, of Las Cruces, NM died Tuesday October 17, 2006. He was born May 14, 1916, in San Andres, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Francisco and Paula Lopez. Mr. Lopez was retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad, as well as New Mexico State University. Ysidro will be deeply missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him. Ysidro is survived by his son Ysidro P. Lopez, and eight daughters Ruth Florez of Las Cruces, Terri Fresquez and Firpo of Las Cruces, Jessie Espaline of Las Cruces, Isabel Valdez and husband Levi of Santa Fe, Margie Graham and husband Dave of Las Cruces, Lupe L. Jaquez and husband Joe of Las Cruces, Paula Pimentel and husband Victor of Albuquerque, Carmen L. Ramirez and husband Jose Louis of Phoenix, AZ, and one brother Anselmo R. Lopez of chambering, two sisters Cuca Hernandez of Anthony, and Maria De Atocha of Las Cruces, twenty three grandchildren, thirty three great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 41 years Genoveva Lopez. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Friday October 20, 2006 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7PM. The funeral mass will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday October 21, 2006 at San Jose Catholic Church in La Mesa. Rite of committal will be at the La Mesa Cemetery following the mass.
