Guillermo H. Garcia (Willie or Memo) November 7, 1949- February 24, 2022 It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle, Willie "Memo" Garcia, age 72, on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family. Memo as he was fondly known was born on November 7, 1949, to Isidoro and Javiera Garcia. He was retired from Elephant Butte Irrigation District, and a current softball coach at Centennial High School. Memo was known for his expertise in coaching, and teaching others how to excel on the field. Memo enjoyed all sports, but his passion was for his family and friends that will forever love and miss him. Those left to mourn his passing includes his wife, Martha Garcia; his two daughters Denise Garcia, and Dyanne Pena (Johnny). Grandchildren, Nica Jimenez (Juan) Darian Garcia, J.J. Pena, Alexis Pena, Aaron Garcia, Jordyn Pena, Alex Garcia and Ryan Garcia. Great-Grandchildren, Stevie Jimenez, Rylee Marshall, Julian Jimenez, Skarlett Pena, Allison Pena, and Adalee Marshall. Siblings Tito Garcia, Roswell, NM, Coco Garcia, Cider Hill, Tx, Margaret Armendariz, Las Cruces, NM and Gloria Lampron (Bill), El Paso, Tx. Memo was preceded in death by his son Will Garcia, and parents Isidoro and Javiera Garcia. A prayer vigil will begin 10:00 am on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at The Cathedral of Immaculate Heart of Mary, following a Memorial Mass to celebrate his life at 10:30am.
