William James Franklin

It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of William James Franklin, 66, who passed away February 13, 2025. Bill was born to Eldon and Zella Franklin, on December 26, 1958, in Roswell, NM.

Bill lived up to his nickname, “Wild Bill”, for the majority of his life, but had turned to God in the last few years of his life. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a boatswain’s Mate.

Bill is survived by his son, Brent Franklin, of Porterville, CA., and daughter, Shelby Keading, of Northern New Mexico. Bill loved and had tremendous pride in his grandchildren, Mia, Ele, Shawn, Shaylee and Isabella Franklin, all of Porterville, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldon and Zella Franklin, siblings, Nancy Atwood, Terri Piper, Danny Green, one son, Shawn, and his beloved pet and friend Spike.
