Victor A. Jackson Born June 29, 1929 West Palm Beach, Florida to Victor and Opal Jackson Died June 18, 2021 Las Cruces, NM age 91 A veteran of the Korean War, he flew helicopter supply routes in Alaska. A graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois with a geology and mining degree as well as Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado. Worked throughout Colorado, Wyoming, and British Columbia surveying ore locations for Climax Molybdenum Mining company. He eventually moved to the General Services Division as Supply Department Superintendent for the mining operations. Retiring in 1979 he and Elaine moved from Buena Vista, Colorado to Las Cruces, New Mexico to enjoy the warmer weather of the desert. They enjoyed their well-earned retirement exploring the area as well as traveling the rest of the United States. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Elaine, daughter Jill and brother Richard. Survived by two sons, Alan Jackson of Salt Lake City, Wesley Jackson (wife Tere) of Sandpoint, Idaho, and Julie Adams (husband John) of Highlands Ranch, Colo. Grandchildren Alex Jackson (wife Emilee), Sarah Clift (husband Charles), Anya Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, Devin Adams, Ayla Adams, and Jaden Adams.
