Tomasa L. 'Tommie' Baca

Tomasa L. "Tommie" Baca, 80, of Las Cruces, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday April 4, 2006. She was born Feb. 7, 1926 in Las Cruces to Matilde and Elena Lujan. Tommie loved gardening, sewing, taking photographs, playing the piano, and especially listening to music. She was a lady of great faith, who loved God and prayed everyday for her many family and friends. Tommie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Antonio G. Baca of the family home; her children Mary Helen Duran of Las Cruces, Tony Baca Jr. and wife Anna Griego of Albuquerque, NM and Rosina Carrasco of Las Cruces; grandchildren Paul, David, Daniel, Dominic, Vanessa and Michael; great-grandchildren Joshua and Celeste; nieces Tina Tarango and Rita Horn and Gloria T. Sizemore all of Las Cruces; nephews Johnny Lujan and wife Blanca of Dona Ana, NM and Ernest Tarango and Fred Tarango of Las Cruces. Tommie is preceded in death by her brothers Juan and Alberto Lujan and sister Maria Lujan. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Friday April 7, 2006 at Getz Funeral Home where a Wake will follow at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services are at 11:00 AM on Saturday April 8, 2006 at Church Triumphant 2020 N. Valley Dr. Las Cruces, NM. with Pastor Ty Loyd officiating both. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery.
