Tircio (Ted ,Ticho) Naranjo Sedillo passed into eternal life on April 4, 2009, at home with his family by his side. He was born on March 28, 1924 in Rincon, NM, to Pablo and Emilia Sedillo. Ted served honorably in WWII in the United States Navy from 1942 until 1945 aboard the USS Edgar G. Chase, a Destroyer Escort engaged in anti-submarine warfare, where he was a gunner's mate in the Atlantic Theater in the Mediterranean and North Africa. After his honorable discharge he went to work at Ford Motor Co. in Las Cruces. He retired from the U.S. Naval Ordinance Missile Test Facility at White Sands Missile Range. He was a Boy Scout leader for Troop 224 in Las Cruces. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the great outdoors with his sons, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, grandchildren and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Pablo and Emilia Sedillo, his brothers John and Pete Sedillo and his sister Isabel (Auntie Bell) Ledesma. He is survived by his loving wife Maria Sabina Sedillo, his two sisters Angelita (Angie) Alderete and husband Esau and Gregoria (Goya) Gomez and husband Louis, sons Teddy and Jerry of Las Cruces, Jimmy and Cyndi-Burt Sedillo of San Antonio, TX, Robert Sanchez of El Paso, TX, Larry Sanchez of Houston, TX, daughters Mona Zoltan and husband William of Dallas TX, Irma Alvara and husband Marcos of Fresno, CA, and his faithful companion Chiquita. His grandchildren Joseph Sedillo, Leslie Sedillo and her husband Darren, Natalia and Lenora Sedillo, Sabrina Eveland and husband Josh, Andrea Sedillo-Bermea and husband Javier. His great grandchildren Xavier Vargas, MaryJane Henry, Michael Holguin, Jordan and Alysandra Sedillo-Bermea, and Ryan, Maygan, Marissa, Marlee, and Anna Sedillo. His pallbearers will be Joe Hidalgo, Joey Fajardo, Sammy Rodriguez Jr., Robert Sanchez, Ronnie Ledesma and Michael Ybarra. Honorary pallbearers will be Marcos Alvara, Raymond Rodriguez and Leonard Ramirez. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM today Tuesday April 7, 2009 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7 PM. Ted's funeral mass to celebrate his life will be at 10 AM on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will be at Masonic Cemetery with military honors.
