Theodore William Jones

Theodore William Jones passed away on March 3, 2022. He was born in Clayton, MO. Ted served in the US Armed Forces from 1959-1961. After a blind date in 1964, he married and had two children with Stella Gonzales and helped raise her children and grandchildren. Ted worked for the Las Cruces Fire Department 1967-1976. He later worked for many years at Truck Stops of America as a station manager. He was a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and he had a great passion for fishing. Ted was preceded in death by his grandson Michael Jones and his step-sons, Eddie Rivera and Frank Rivera. He is survived by his wife, Stella G. Jones, his children: Stella Marie Terrazas and Theodore Jones Jr. (Laura); his step-children: Teresa Engelking (Charley), Mary Alice "Tootie" Reyes, Luis Baca, Steve Baca and Frumencio Baca. A special thank you to the staff who took wonderful care of "Jonesy" at Casa del Sol Nursing Facility. Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 10:00am followed by a graveside service at Masonic Cemetery.
