Teodulo Ortega Estrada

Teodulo O. Estrada, passed away suddenly at him home Sunday August 27th, he was 73. Ted, as he was most fondly known to his family and friends was born in Durango Mexico, to Juventino Estrada and Gregoria Ortega. After coming to the states, Ted made his home in Las Cruces working as a Farm Laborer. His passion was however, being a mechanic. Always quick to lend a hand in fixing a car. He knew all there was to know about getting under a hood. He loved teaching his sons and his nephews about fixing cars. In his retirement age he loved taking trips to Ruidoso and loved playing the slot machines. When he was home, he enjoyed his free time playing with his Pelona PJ and taking care of his wife. He will be greatly missed as well as his squinty eyes and his smile and mostly his reddish hair. Ted is preceeded in death by his parents, Juventino and Gregoria, daughter Gracie and grandson Cruzito. His four brothers and sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Gracie, two sons Rafael and Daniel, two daughters. Estela Estrada and Sonia Flores, one brother Juventino Estrada Jr. (Emma), and one sister Rosario "Chayo" Gutierrez (Rodrigo), four grandsons, Jose and Angel De los Santos, Jausim Cabanas and Jared Terrazas, Granddaughter Paulina Jade (PJ), Great Grand daughter Elly, And Nephew Miguel Estrada Jr. A public visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 9:30am - 10:30am, at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church, the recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 10:30 am with the Funeral Liturgy to follow at 11:00am. Pallbearers will be: Rodrigo Gutierrez, Jausim Cabanas, Jared Terrazas, Juan Terrazas, Gilbert Sanchez, Dominic Bustamante Service Information
