Taylor Irene Edmondson

May 3, 1947 – February 16, 2025

Taylor Irene Edmondson, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2025, in Mesilla, New Mexico, at the age of 77.

Born on May 3, 1947, in Hastings, Nebraska, Taylor lived a life full of warmth, kindness, and unwavering acceptance of others. She offered a safe space for so many, always welcoming people as they were.

Taylor had a long and fulfilling career with the Minnesota Department of Human Services. She found great purpose in her work, offering support and care to those in need. Her compassionate nature extended beyond people; she had a deep love for animals, especially cats, and found joy in the simple beauty of dragonflies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bette June and James Henry Edmondson. She is survived by her brother, Will Edmondson (Katherine), and children Joel Kittleson and Angi Kyllo. Above all else, Taylor cherished her grandchildren, celebrating all milestones with immense love and pride. She is survived by grandchildren Micheal Kyllo-Kittleson, Chaise Knutson, Kayla Kittleson, Rocco Kyllo, and Katie and Mark Pineda, all of whom she adored beyond measure.

Taylor found a true home in the community she found in Las Cruces. She was surrounded by friends who became family, and she deeply valued the connections she made and the life she lived here.

Taylor’s kindness, warmth, and passion for life will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In honoring her memory, may we carry forward the love and acceptance of others she shared with the world.

A celebration of her life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Action Program for Animals, La Casa, or the Center for Spiritual Living in Las Cruces.
