Susan Elizabeth Nelson

Susan Elizabeth Nelson passed away in her home at age 61 on October 25, 2020 in Las Cruces, NM. She was born on December 30,1958 in Oceanside, CA to Gerald and Barbara Nelson (Coffman). Susan was a Neuromuscular Therapist since 1984 and was trained by Archie Banister in Carlsbad, NM. In 1986 she moved to Las Cruces, NM and started a private practice called, In Touch Neuromuscular Therapy. She helped countless people recover from muscular pain and was widely considered to be the best Masseuse in the Las Cruces area. She often told stories of when Sting played a concert in the area and was looking for a therapist and on two occasions his assistant booked appointments with her. She was also a therapist for Vince Gill which earned her two back stage passes to an Amy Grant concert. Susan was an avid cyclist, hiker, painter, and gardener. Above all she was a follower of Jesus Christ. She loved to share the hope that she had inside with others. She was an incredible listener and an even better encourager. She loved to pray and always lifted up her children and grandchildren to the Lord. Susan is survived by her mother, Barbara Coffman, her sister, Kelly Yoder (Bruce Yoder), her brother, Patrick Nelson (Carrie Nelson), her son, Joseph Andrews (Leann Andrews), her daughter, Kathryn "Katie" Wolf, and her four grandchildren, Parker, London, Jack and Hallie Andrews who lovingly called her "Rosie". Services will be held in her honor at First Baptist Church in Las Cruces at 10:00AM on November 5, 2020.
