Sue Jimerson, born on August 7, 1929, peacefully passed away on June 14, 2024, at her home in Las Cruces, New Mexico, surrounded by her loving family. She will be deeply missed by her children, Nancy Brenner, John Jimerson, and his wife, Penny Jimerson, and her sister Nancy Davis (Bob Dietrich). Sue leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by her five adoring grandchildren: Justin Brenner (Alley Adams), Michael Brenner, Rachel Brenner (Jaime Masson), Nathan (Jacquelin) Jimerson, and Amber Jimerson (Felipe Hinojosa). Her spirit will also live on through her two great-grandchildren, Billie Hinojosa and Natalie Jimerson.
Sue's life was marked by her unwavering love for her family. She is now reunited with her husband, Eugene "Jim" Jimerson, her son William "Bill" Jimerson, grandson Zia Fiorella, parents Henry N. Davis and Wilma "Billye" Davis, her brother General John Kerry Davis, USMC (Retired), sisters Honey B Scholz and Johanna Crocco in eternal peace.
Sue had a passion for exploration and was an avid reader, always seeking new adventures through books and travels. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, savoring margaritas and sweet wine among good company. A talented artist, Sue expressed herself through creativity and brought beauty into the world around her. She was a devoted wife to Eugene and a loving mother who embraced life with boundless joy and enthusiasm.
Public viewing on Wednesday, June 19,20024 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm followed by a Rosary at Getz Funeral Home. A mass to celebrate Sue's life will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at St. Alberts Newman Center at 10:00 am.
