Steven Wayne Miller

Steven Wayne Miller passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the age of 47. Steve was born Oct. 18, 1961 in Las Cruces, NM. He was the son of John Miller and Janet Pearce. Steve graduated from Mayfield High School in 1979, and then went on to get an Electrical Associates Degree. He began working for Plains Electric and moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1981. Steve married Roberta Herrera on Feb. 28, 1987 and their son Chad was born on Feb. 20, 1988. After Roberta's death, Steve and Chad returned to Las Cruces and made their home on the East Mesa. Steve is survived by his son Chad Miller and wife Brittany of Las Cruces; his father John Miller and step-mother Karen of Las Cruces; step-father Tom Pearce of Chloride, NM; his brother Wesley Miller and wife Barbie of Las Cruces; sister Julie Arnold and husband Eric of Albuquerque, NM; grandmother Verva Miller of Las Cruces; mother and father-in-law Patricia and Robert Herrera; brothers-in-law Rodrick and Patrick Herrera of Albuquerque, NM; 3 nephews, 1 niece, the family dog Grizzly and by many friends. Steve was preceded in death by his loving wife Roberta Miller and his mother Janet Pearce. Cremation has taken place with graveside services to follow at a later date. The family and friends will be receiving guests at the home of Kipp and Sara Nall, 8120 Bataan Memorial East, on Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
