Sandra Marie Smock

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Sandra Marie Smock, age 71, of Las Cruces, entered eternal life Saturday morning, March 23, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in El Paso, TX. She was born April 24, 1941 in Meadville, PA to Theodore V. and Ethel V. Wood. Sandra was a homemaker, loving wife and mother. She was a member of the Home Extension Club, "Chics" for many years. Sandra will be deeply missed by all. Those left to mourn her passing include her loving spouse of 52 year, William J. Smock; one daughter, Debora Baker and husband Bruce of Las Cruces, NM; one son, William Smock and wife Kerry of San Diego, CA; one grandson, Michael Baker and one granddaughter Ashley Baker, both of Las Cruces, NM . Other survivors include two brothers, Ted Wood and wife Janet of Placitas, NM, and Ray Wood and wife Vickie of Austin, TX; one sister, Carole Hurley and husband Charles of Houston, TX, as well as several nieces and Nephews. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore V. Wood in 2009 and Ethel V. Wood in 2011. Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel followed by a memorial service at 2pm. Cremation will follow the services and Inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery in Ft. Bliss, TX. PDF Printable Version
