Samuel “Sammy” Juarez, 74 of San Miguel, NM passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife Rebecca and daughter Crystal at his home on October 24, 2024. Samuel was born in San Miguel, NM to Antonio and Genoveva Juarez. He was the kind of person who took care of everyone. He had a love for golf and the outdoors. His biggest love was for his wife and daughter. Samuel was a veteran who was drafted in the Vietnam War for two years. When he got out of the Army, he started working odd jobs to support himself. Once he secured a job at White Sands Missile Range in maintenance, he devoted 35 years of service before retiring in 2011. After retiring you would find him at the golf course a few times a week, working in his yard, and running errands with his wife. He always was rooting for the underdogs in sports and life. His favorite team in the NFL was the Arizona Cardinals along with, rooting for Gadsen High School football and the NMSU Aggies. He would go to town with his wife and you would find them having lunch at his favorite spots Los Compas, Dairy Queen, and Olive Garden just to name a few. When it was his birthday or Father’s Day his favorite places was Stateline or Farley’s. His love for food and avid sweet tooth was part of his personality. He loved shopping for shoes, clothes and gifts for his wife and daughter. His favorite part about shopping or going somewhere was no matter where he went- he always would run into someone he knew. He enjoyed catching up with old co-workers, friends and family. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing him learned something new about life or were able to see things from a different perspective.
