Robert L. Jones Iii

Robert L. Jones III, our beloved son and brother, left this earth on February 22, 2009 at the age of 24. Robert was born in Deming NM on February 2, 1985. Robert attended Lynn Middle School and graduated from Onate High School in 2003. Robert played varsity football during his 4 years at Onate and played on the State Championship team in 2003 and went on to play football at Bethel College in Newton Kansas. He was a Foreman for Jones Construction Company and Offensive Line Coach at Onate High School at the time of his death. Robert loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing and enjoyed reading and watching movies. Robert loved to talk about anything that involved politics or his love of the United States. He was a collector of American Flags and old coins. Robert is survived by his mother Wanda Jones, Las Cruces NM; father, Robert L Jones and step mother Annette Jones, Las Cruces NM; brother James Jones (Bonna) Las Cruces NM; sisters Lauriann Carrillo and husband, Jason, Tularosa NM; Jennifer Jones, Las Cruces NM; step-brother Lawrence Sanchez Jr. (Amber) Las Cruces NM; step-sister Jessica Ann Sanchez Las Cruces NM; grandparents Loretta and Stanley Stahl, San Angelo Tx; David and Anna Walter Mesa Az.; Drucilla Jones, Deming NM; nephews James Jones, Adrian Jones, Landon Jones Las Cruces NM; nieces Josephine Carrillo and Gillian Carrillo, Tularosa NM, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Robert was preceded in death by his grandfather Robert L. Jones Sr. "You will be missed Bob-O!" A visitation will be held Thursday February 26, 2009 from 5-7 PM at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday February 27, 2009 also at the Getz Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be James Jones, Lawrence Sanchez Jr., Blake Borde, Philip Borde, Jason Carrillo, and Darrel Muniz. PDF Printable Version
