Robert F. Ludovic

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our father Robert F. Ludovic, preceded in death by his wife Emma Jean Ludovic, son Kurt F. Ludovic, brother Richard Ludovic, sister Esther Ludovic and his parents. He is survived by his daughters Laura and Lorna Ludovic. Born December 11th, 1921, he served honorably in WWII as Captain in the Air Transport Command. He moved his family to Las Cruces in 1955, and began working at White Sands Missile Range. He retired from there in 1985 after 30 years of service. In 1968 his wife died leaving him with twin daughters to raise, a huge task for any widower but dad took that task on and he will always be our hero. Thanks dad for all the things that you taught us and all the love you gave us. His clever sense of humor and unique personality will be fondly remembered and missed. Loving thanks to Lidia Macias for her tender care. Her loyalty and kindness can never be repaid; we will always be indebted to Lidia and her family. She and her son always made dad light up when they came into the room, giving him and happiness in his last few months. Memorial Services to celebrate his life will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, Feb. 20, 2009 at Getz Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Marcus Burr officiating. The US Army and the El Perro Diablos of Las Cruces will provide military honors. Thanks to Tasha and Carla and all the staff at Memorial Medical Home health care for making dad smile!
