Robert D. Hawn, 75, a Las Cruces resident since 1988, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007. He was born Jan. 29, 1932 in Glen Allen, Missouri to Elmer and Mary Goodwin Hawn. Robert was a veteran of the US Air Force where he served his country honorably as a Staff Sgt. during the Korean Conflict. He had been a small business consultant with various companies, a Mechanical Engineering/ V.P. of Marketing for Honeywell in Littleton, CO, part of the founding team for MASSTOR Systems in Sunnyvale, CA. and V.P. of the Data Tape Division for Bell and Howell. Robert worked and gave of himself tirelessly for charities. He was a devoted Christian and family man who will be deeply missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife Vivian Hawn of the family home; children Andrew Hawn and wife Carrie of Santa Barbara, CA, Mitchell Hawn of Fort Collins, CO. Matthew Hawn of Las Cruces and Cristen Hardin and husband Jack of Colorado Springs, CO; sister Marilyn Baker and husband George of Snow Mass Village, CO. Also surviving him are his 7 grandchildren. Memorial Services to celebrate his life will be at 10:30 AM on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008 at Sonoma Springs Presbyterian Church. Located at 3940 Sonoma Springs Avenue.
