Rita G. Contreras

Rita G. Contreras went to meet her Savior on December 30, 2012. Rita was born in Shafter, Tx to Gregorio and Leandra Gomez. Rita was preceded in death by her daughter Ofelia Gallegos and by her loving husband of 63 years Julian H. Contreras. Rita was a housewife and a very dedicated Catholic attending church at Our Lady of Purification church in Dona Ana NM. Rita is survived by her two sons Manuel G. Contreras of California and Joe G. Contreras of Las Cruces (companion Victoria) Her two daughters, Maria Lopez (Rick) and Stella Garcia of Las Cruces and the Grandchild she raised Luis Contreras. She is survived by numerous Grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation for Rita will be Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 6-7pm., at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7pm, Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am on Monday, January 7, 2013 Our Lady of Purification Church in Dona Ana, burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Pallbearers will be: Joe G. Contreras Jr, Luis Contreras, Jessie Lopez, Adrian Lopez, Robert Vasquez and Alexandro Tavares. PDF Printable Version
