Raymundo Costales

Raymundo "Ray" Costales , 78 years old, of Las Cruces passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Mesilla Valley Hospice. Ray was born 9/26/1937 in Rincon, NM, his parents were Samuel Costales and Elvira Altamirano. He was the fourth of six children. The family moved from Rincon to Las Cruces when he was a young boy. Ray served honorably in the United States Air force. In 2003 he retired from the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department where he was employed as an Electronics Tech, and relocated back to Las Cruces NM from Rancho Cucamonga CA. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary Ann Johnson Costales; two daughters Stephanie Costales of Las Cruces and Linda Costales Beougher of Aliquippa, PA, a step-daughter Carolyn Williams of Muscatine IA, a step-son Richard Williams of Long Beach, CA, and a brother Ruben Costales of Thomasville, NC. Other survivors include nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother. A Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday March 3, 2016 in Getz Funeral Chapel, 1410 E. Bowman Avenue, Las Cruces NM. PDF Printable Version
