Ramona Sanchez

Ramona Sanchez, 81 Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister of Anthony, New Mexico went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2021. Ramona was born September 1, 1939 in Durango, Mexico to Jose Santillanes and Santos Gallarzo. They later moved to Delicias, Ch. where she grew up. At the age of 23, Ramona then moved to Juarez, Ch. where she met the love of her life, Juan Sanchez. They married on January 13, 1966. Together they had 6 children: Olivia (Luis) of El Paso, Texas, Juan (Ana) of Anthony, New Mexico, Blanca (Robert) of Faben's, Texas, Javier of Anthony, New Mexico, Elizabeth (Martin) of Canutillo, Texas, and Vanessa (Adrian) of Mesquite, New Mexico. They lived in El Paso, Texas, they then later moved to Anthony, New Mexico, where they found their forever home. Ramona dedicated her life to working for the kingdom of God. She was a beloved pastor's wife for 20 years and an evangelist prior to her pastorship. She was a faithful servant of God and like many of you who knew her, know that she loved spreading the Gospel. She was always praying for her husband, family, friends, and anyone who God put in her path that needed prayer. Nena as many of you knew her, Loved her family dearly. She loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events and enjoyed having her house filled with love and laughter. Nena enjoyed gardening, her rose garden was her hobby and brought her joy. Nena is survived by her husband Juan of 55 years, 6 children, 17 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. A visitation followed immediately by prayer service is scheduled, Monday, April 19, 2021, at 6:00 p.m at Iglesia De Dios in Canutillo, Texas, located at 7546 Doniphan Dr. A funeral service for Nena will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m at Getz Funeral Home in Las Cruces, New Mexico located at 1410 E.Bowman Ave. with burial following at Anthony Community Cemetery in Anthony, New Mexico.
