Phyllis Bradley

Phyllis Elaine Bradley, age 89, of Las Cruces went to be with the Lord on August 1, 2023. She was born on August 7, 1933, in Des Moines, New Mexico to Ben and Grace Longwill; she was the youngest of four children. Phyllis was a part of the graduating class of 1951 at Las Cruces Union High School; after graduating she went to New Mexico State University. Phyllis married the love of her life, Jimmy Bradley, on September 22, 1956, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. One year later they had their first-born child Jim Jr., in Elizabeth Town, Kentucky. They later moved back to Las Cruces, New Mexico where they had three more children; Debbie, Michael, and Gary. For several years Phyllis worked as a secretary at White Sands, Roswell High School, the Magistrate Court, and in John Darden's attorney office. Phyllis carried so much love for her family throughout her life. As her children would say, there was no better role model as a mother, grandmother, and friend. She supported her husband Jim Bradley throughout his coaching career. After Jim's passing, she focused on her children and grandchildren. Phyllis prided herself on having a large and close-knit family. To Phyllis, her family was her biggest pride and joy. She was a great example how you should love and cherish the people in your life; the biggest blessing is to love and be loved, and that love is one her family will carry with them forever. Phyllis will be deeply missed by her son Jim, Jr., wife DeAnna and their children Trevor, and Marisa and Jim's oldest daughter Krystyn [husband Casey and their child Carson]; daughter Debbie, husband Jeffery and their children Jordan and Jenna; son Michael, wife Shannon and their children David and Michaela; son Gary, wife Dana and their children Shawn, Morgan, and Amber. Phyllis joined her parents Ben and Grace, siblings Ione, Wanda, and Ben, and her husband Jim Bradley in Heaven whom she had missed dearly. A Rosary will be held on Thursday August 10, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Albert the Great Newman Center, 2615 S Solano Dr, Las Cruces, NM 88001.
