Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Paul Richard Herrera (ONE PUNCH PAUL), 52 years old of Las Cruces, NM entered eternal life in his home on Sunday, June 29, 2014. Paul was born on April 8, 1962 in Las Cruces, NM to Daniel and Constance Herrera. He was the youngest of 11 children. He married Maria Gallegos and they have been married for 32 years. He is the proud father of 2 children and 1 stepson. He is also a very proud grandfather of 4 grandchildren with another on the way. Paul's passion was being outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, tending to his yard and garden, as well as spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed going for a cruise with his wife on a nice day; just to get out and go. Taking a vacation with his family to travel New Mexico. No real destination just go where the car took you. Paul was a hard worker and enjoyed being a carpenter. He was a perfectionist when it came to any of his work. He always worked hard at everything he did in order to make sure it came out right and perfect. Paul was always that guy who was there when you needed him. One of his greatest achievements in life was being The Greatest Grandpa of all time. "NEVER FEAR, GRANDPA IS HERE!" That is what read on his most favorite shirt and he lived up to it too! His grandchildren were the light in his eyes. Paul is survived by: Wife Maria Herrera, son Joshua Herrera (Wife Angelica and grandson Dominic, with one on the way), daughter Renee Armendariz (Husband Orly, grandsons Orlando and Michael), and stepson David Mabie all of Las Cruces, NM. His brothers and sisters: Gloria Clouser, Julie Diaz, Danny Herrera, George Herrera, Rita Herrera, Vicki Ortega, Paulette Herrera, Connie Angel, and Roger Herrera.
