Patrick E. Heide

Our hearts heavy with grief, we sadly announce that on January 28th, 2016, our crazy, wonderful, beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, friend Patrick Heide, of Las Cruces, NM, passed away at the age of 32, at University Medical Center in El Paso. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Arlo Helms, Doris Helms, and Anamae Heide, and father, Calvin Heide. Survived by mother Marilyn Heide, sister, Laura Soriano, Grandfather, Ronald Heide, and countless friends and extended family. Born October 1983 at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Patrick worked at Outback Steakhouse in Las Cruces for over a decade. Cooking was his passion, along with biking, hiking, traveling, his dog Roxanne, and generally enjoying his friends, family, and life. With so much youth, energy, and vibrancy it feels incomprehensible that he would leave us so soon. His friends say he would light up the room and give anyone the shirt off of his back. Always generous in life, it gives us some solace that he continues this legacy by donating his organs, so many others may go on to live long, vibrant lives. As we grieve, we promise to remember all the joy Patrick brought to this world. He left an indelible mark on everyone he met. You are extremely loved and missed Patrick.
