Norma Jean Parra Cabanas, 63, passed on September 26, 2023, in Las Cruces New Mexico. Norma was born May 23, 1960, in Mesilla New Mexico to Geronimo Parra and Gloria Hortencio. Norma Jean loved to draw, paint color, sew, knit and listen to music. She was a proud member of Pueblo of San Juan Guadalupe, Piro Manso Tiwa Indian Tribe. She is survived by sons Joseph Parra and Raul Cabanas Jr., and daughter Enriqueta Cabanas, Grandchildren Kayla, Amaris, Julian, Maya, Angelica, Laela, Dianeli and Aubri, great grandchild Elijah. She also leaves behind siblings Marcos Parra (Antonia), Bobby Parra, Reyna Martinez, Danny Parra and Jenny Najera (Tony) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents Geronimo Parra (4/23/2010), Gloria Hortencio (7/17/2005) and husband Raul Cabanas.
