Natalia B. Vigil passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family and friends in Las Cruces. NM on January 1, 2017. She was born in Las Cruces, NM on March 8, 1926, to Jose and Ernestina Barela. Natalia was also known as "Nati" was an active member of St. Genevieve's Sacred Heart League her and her family ran the Enchilada booth at their Fiesta for many many years. She was also very dedicated to La Virgen De Guadalupe. She was an avid bingo player. Nati is best known for her kind heart and amazing food, always willing to feed any and everyone who came over to visit. Natalia is survived by her 6 daughters Lupe Vigil, Cecilia Salas and husband Henry Salas, Marylou Vigil, Susie Salcido and husband Ruben Salcido Sr, Martha Estorga and husband Reymond Estorga, Yvonne Santistevan, and her only son Dennis Vigil. 2 sisters Josie Barela and Ernestine Martinez. She had 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews as well as close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Cornelio F. Vigil, Parents Jose and Ernestina Barela, Brothers Willie, Cristobal, Vicente, and Ralph Barela. Sisters Connie Madrid and Carmen Leyva and Grandchildren Ruby Salcido, Aaliyah Kiana and Kiah Alanah Peyton. The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to her granddaughter Denise Salas who is a CNA and after working her shifts would come and help the family take care of Grandma. Natalia leaves behind many cherished memories for her family and friends. She will be truly missed by all her loved ones. PDF Printable Version Service Information
