Narciso David Trujillo, beloved father, husband, son, brother and grandfather, 67 of Las Cruces, NM died Monday, March 10, 2008 surrounded by his family at Memorial Medical Center after a brief struggle with cancer. He was born January 8, 1941 in Farley, NM to Victor and Ida Trujillo Avila. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War where he received the Purple Heart Medal and most recently, was retired from American Linen. Narciso was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and will be missed all who knew and loved him. Narciso is survived by his wife Barbara; daughter, Victoria Trujillo Williams of Las Cruces, NM; special niece and nephew whom he considered his own, Valerie Avila of Denver, CO and Raymond Avila of Chamberino, NM. Six brothers, Baltizar Avila of Raton, NM; Abel Trujillo of Springer NM; Jose Ramon Avila, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO; Jerry Avila of Raton, NM; Joseph Avila of Texas, and Orlando Avila of Florida. Also surviving Narciso are two sisters, Virginia Mondragon of Albuquerque, NM; Elsie Avila of Las Cruces, NM; grandchildren, Justus David Lee Williams; Zackrey Aaron Joseph Avila, and Jasmine Monique Moreno and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Ida. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel where the Prayer Vigil will follow at 7 PM. The Funeral Services will be at 10 AM on Friday, March 14, 2008 also at Getz Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Masonic Cemetery with full military honors.
