Nancy S. Jenkins

Nancy S. Jenkins, 95 years of age, of Las Cruces, NM, died on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Good Samaritan Village. Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. She was born on May 16, 1928, in Orange, NJ to Edward and Hazel Schurr. Nancy married Frank Jenkins on June 21,1952; they had 61 years together. Nancy attended New Jersey College for Women ( now Rutgers University) graduating with a BS in Math and German. After college, she became a Benefits Analyst at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in New York City. Nancy is survived by her daughter Lauren Ball and husband Randall of Glen Ellyn, IL, son Christopher Jenkins of Westbrook, ME, grandchildren, Katherine Ball, Allison Ball, Brandon Jenkins, Ashley Green, Dylan Jenkins and great-grandchildren, Connor Green and Hailey Green. She is also survived by her cousin, Allen Cosgrove, and close friends, Linda and Fred Hurd and their children Rob and Becky.
A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 518 N. Alameda, Las Cruces, NM on Friday August 2, at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, Nancy’s family asks that donations be made in her name to Mesilla Valley Hospice, 299 E. Montana, Las Cruces, NM 88005.
