Nancy Coltharp

Nancy Joyce Holcomb Coltharp was born on her mother's birthday, November 22, 1939, to Lural and Lorene Holcomb in Grapevine, Texas. She died peacefully on June 29, 2024, at 7:30 AM at Casa Bella Assisted Living facility in Las Cruces. She is survived by her loving husband, Bob Coltharp, and her 2 daughters, Linda Peterman and Mary Coltharp. She has 4 grandchildren: Brandon Peterman, Verona Peterman, Alex Trujillo, and Jacob Trujillo. She is also survived by her brother John Holcomb. She is preceded in death by her sister Margie Adams and brother Freddy Holcomb.

Nancy received a bachelor's degree from Texas Wesleyan University and worked for the Texas A&M agricultural department as a home demonstration agent in Menard, Texas. She met Bob and married him at Birdville Baptist Church on September 3, 1966. She stayed home to raise her 2 daughters. She volunteered to help with the literacy program that helped transfer students to learn English. She loved to sew and create crafts. She did a great job in decorating cakes for all occasions. She traveled all over the Southwest and beyond doing white water rafting with Bob. She was a devoted Baptist and loved the Lord her entire life.

The funeral service will be held at 4 pm on July 11, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Las Cruces, NM. There will be a reception immediately following at her former residence.
