Nancy A. Huff, 67, of Las Cruces, died Thursday, May 19 2011. She was born Dec. 26, 1943 in Cleveland, OH, to Leonard and Jeannette Arnold. Nancy had been a Field Representative with (O.M.I.) Office of Medical Investigators with more than 33 years of faithful service. She started with O.M.I. on Sept. 21, 1978 and was certified as a Diplomat-American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigations (D-ABMDI) Sept. 26, 2001. Nancy was a Nationally Certified Medical Examiner and had investigated over 2000 scenes in her career and was the Head Investigator in Dona Ana County. She was one of the first female paramedics and helped to start the First Home Health. Nancy also was owner/operator of Hytech Automotive along with her loving husband of 36 years, Jim Huff of the family home. She along with Jim was well traveled and enjoyed 4 wheel drive tours, racing and going to National Events. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Nancy is also survived by her brothers-in-law Richard Huff and wife Renee of Bellingham, WA, Fred Huff and wife Linda of Las Cruces and by her nieces and nephews. Memorial Services to celebrate her life will be at 10 am on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Getz Funeral Home with Rev. Conan Carr officiating.
