Mike L. Duran

Mike L. Duran, 65, of Las Cruces died October 7, 2015. Mike was born on July 16, 1950 to Ramon R. Duran and Consuelo (Lucero) Duran. He worked at Sara Lee Hosiery for 28 years and at Safe Ride for 11 years. He enjoyed hunting and being out in the open with everyone. Some of his hobbies were going to the thrift shops to look for old things and odd items. He loved getting together with his children at home which made him the happiest, with his radio loud, grilling and playing his music he enjoyed the most. He was a member of St. Genevieve's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Anita, and his four children, Michael (Sandy), Christine (Jesus), and Joshua all of Las Cruces; and Raymond of Pecos, NM. Also surviving him are six grandchildren, Michael (Ashley) Brittany, Jasmine, Isaiah, Bourbondy and Serina. Three great grandchildren, Josiah, Jaiden and Zoe. Brothers Frank (Alicia), Willie (Petra) and Bobby Duran (Dolores). Also surviving him are many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Ramon R. Duran. A visitation is scheduled for the friends and family of Mike on Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 5-7pm and will be immediately followed by a prayer vigil at Getz Funeral Home. A Funeral mass is scheduled for Friday, October 16, 2015 at 10am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. PDF Printable Version
