Michael Anthony Jeffrey

Michael Anthony Jeffrey died and went to be with the Lord on August 29, 2016 in Mesilla Valley Hospice, Las Cruces, NM at the age of 31.He was born in Greeley Colorado Oct. 26, 1984. He attended First Assembly of God Church with his family growing up. Michael gave his heart to the Lord and was baptized at age 11. He was an extraordinary young man always striving to be the best at anything he attempted.Michael's smile could always light up a room drawing people to him. Michael loved sports, the outdoors, and hunting. He graduated in 2003 from Las Cruces High School which had the Championship football team that won state that year. Michael attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. He obtained his bachelor's degree in kinesiology and worked as a physical therapist in Atlanta, Georgia and Las Cruces, NM. In 2015, Michael was working on obtaining an Information and Communication Technology degree and worked at the ICT department at NMSU. Michael is survived by his son Mason Jeffrey, age 5, of Mesilla, NM. Mother and father Lisa and Scott Moran, of Largo, FL, and father Michael Zuniga of Hereford, TX. He was brother to Michelle Jeffrey of Sunrise, FL, Matthew and Candace Jeffrey of Clearwater, FL, Mark and Claudia Jeffrey of Las Cruces, NM, and Miles and Krista Jeffrey Clearwater, FL. Nephew of Jody and Ken Stolp of Las Cruces, NM, Curtis and Gale Jeffrey of Des Moines, NM, David and Ollie Jeffrey of Las Vegas, NM, Cindy Zuniga of Hereford, TX, Andy Zuniga of Hereford, TX, and Alex Zuniga of CA. Grandson to Loyd and Janice Jeffrey of Bueyeros, NM, Amy and Pete Amarro of Hereford, TX, and Arthur Zuniga of Seattle, WA. Michael's loving and kind spirit will be missed by all who knew him and he will always be remembered with love. The Jeffrey Family ask that you please hold him close, as we do, in your heart and in your spirit. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11am Wednesday August 31, 2016 followed by a luncheon at First Assembly of God Church (5605 Bataan Memorial West, Las Cruces, NM). Pastor Paul Vistine will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Michael's life.
