Mia Grace Nevarez

Mia Grace Nevarez, aged 24 days, passed away in her parents arms at UNM Children's Hospital in Albuquerque, NM on October 2, 2016. After struggling with congenital heart disease, she passed gently into the arms of Jesus. She was born in Albuquerque, NM on September 8, 2016 to Jose M Nevarez Jr. and Alora K . Duran. She was the answer to their prayers and they waited for her birth with joyful expectations. During her brief visit on earth, she enjoyed listening to lullabies, being swaddled tightly and held closely by all. She was loved by all who met her, and will be greatly missed. Those left to mourn her passing include her loving parents, Jose "Joey" Nevarez Jr. and Alora Duran; a brother Elijah Nevarez; Paternal grandparents Jose Nevarez and Companion Marie Caisido and Lidia Corrales; maternal grandparents Frank and Linda Duran, and Christy Benavides and companion Steven Manzanares; five aunts, Guadalupe, Krystle, Denise, Marisa, and Alina. Two Uncles, Samuel and Christopher all of Las Cruces, NM. Other survivors include four cousins, Isaiah, Soledad, Reuben, and Hailey; Great-grandfathers Jose Nevarez and Juan Benavides; Great-grandmothers, Socorro Nevarez, Modesta Benavides, and Esther Duran . Family and Friends will join together to celebrate the Holy Mass of Resurrection at 10 am Friday, October 14, 2016 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, 100 S. Espina St. The Rite of Committal and interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho Ave. where she will be laid to rest. PDF Printable Version
