Mercedes Hollister

Mercedes Quintana Hollister, 55, of Las Cruces, NM, died Friday, September 6, 2024. Mercy was born September 6, 1969, in Belflower, CA, to George and Abigail Provencio. 

Mercy attended New Mexico State University. She was married to Byron Hollister on October 13, 2001. She had a love for people and would light up a room with her energetic and larger-than-life personality. She was a proud member of the Republican Party and was the current Campaign Manager for Kimberly Skaggs. Mercy was a faithful member of the Dona Ana Cowboy Church. Her other hobbies were traveling and fishing. 

She is survived by her Husband Byron, of the family home, one son, Adrian Aguirre, of Vancouver, WA, Three daughters, Ariel Aguirre, of Denver, CO, Kyla Hollister, of Dallas, TX, Samantha Hollister, of Las Cruces NM, one brother, David Provencio, three sisters, Glory Provencio, Lisa Provencio, Esticel Provencio, and two grand-daughters, Mia Hollister and Olivia Hollister. 

A memorial service for Mercedes will be held on September 20, 2024, at 1:00 pm, at the Church Triumphant Life, located at 2020 Valley Dr. in Las Cruces. Officiating will be Israel Rodriguez and Bobby Rice.
