Melanie Anne Goins

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the death of our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Melanie Anne Goins, 28. She was welcomed into the gates of Heaven on November 18, 2012. Melanie was born in Las Cruces, NM on April, 25, 1984 to Steve and Shirley Goins. Growing up she loved everything and everyone around her. In Melanie's early years she enjoyed going on vacations with her parents and sister. She was so passionate about going on family vacations, especially the Disney ones. Her favorite ride was Pirates of the Caribbean. Melanie experienced the magic and wonders that the world had to offer thru the eyes of children and looked forward to recreating that magic with her sister Ashley for her niece Analisa. She was excited about seeing her niece's expressions when experiencing things for the first time. Melanie graduated from Las Cruces high school in 2002. She loved to watch movies and had a big movie collection. She had all the pirate movies and even got a pirate tattoo. She was passionate about so many things in life including family, friends, animals, tigers, and anything Disney. Her visits to the ocean inspired a desire for her to be closer to it. She loved animals, was an active member at the New Life Church and was very spiritual. Melanie had so much love for her family and friends and was always willing to help out when she was needed. She is survived by her parents Steve and Shirley Goins, her sister Ashley Goins and niece Analisa Parra. Melanie was preceded in death by her grandmothers Claudie Goins and Anneliese Caswell. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her. The only blessing at this time is that she is now at peace. She is loved so much and will never be forgotten. A visitation will be Friday, November 23, 2012 5 to 8 pm at Getz Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 10 am also at Getz Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Foster officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Inurnment of cremains will be at 4:00 PM on Monday, November 26, 2012 at Masonic Cemetery. PDF Printable Version
