Maxine Willis Smith, 82, died in Las Cruces, NM on Dec. 8, 2005. Mrs. Smith lived most of her life in Todd County, KY before moving to Las Cruces in 2001 following the death of her husband, Floyd Smith. At the time of her death, Mrs. Smith was a resident at the Heritage. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Heritage staff and management who provided her with loving and special care for more than three years. The daughter of the late Joseph Warren Willis and the late Myrtle Brown Willis of Todd County. She had retired after many years of faithful service from Campbell's Rexall Drug in Elkton, KY. She is survived by a daughter, Patsy Duran and her husband Juan, of Las Cruces; a son, Bill Rutledge and his wife Mary Lou, of Williamsburg, VA; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two of her five sisters, Mrs. Leola Wright of Logan County, KY, and Mrs. Charlene Murrey of Todd County, KY. A memorial service will conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, Dec. 12, 2005 at Getz Funeral Home. Following the memorial service in Las Cruces, Mrs. Smith will be interred in Glenwood Cemetery in Elkton, KY.
