Mary Alice Glenn

Mary Alice Glenn, 89, of Las Cruces, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011. She was born June 4, 1921 in Waco, TX to Warren and Eldie Mae Brown Gore. Mary enjoyed the outdoors, working in her garden and yard, loved to read, and was a wonderful homemaker, but her passion was for her family. Mrs. Glenn will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons Jimmie Glenn, Bobby Glenn, Dickie Glenn all of Albuquerque, NM and Tommy Glenn of Bradenton, FL; daughters Elaine Wingfield and husband Dick of Las Cruces and Dell Sloman and husband John of Amarillo, TX; sisters Juanita Loyd of Lubbock, TX and Dottie Odom of Lamtpasas, TX: 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband Jim Glenn and by her parents. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Sunday, Jan.16, 2011 at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, Jan. 17, 2011 also at Getz Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Whitley officiating. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery.
