Marie Carmen Paz-Anglikowski

Maria Carmen Paz-Anglikowski, 87, lifelong resident of Las Cruces, died Saturday, March 5, 2005. She was born May 2, 1917 in Las Cruces to Gabriel and Francica Calderon Paz. She was a life member of St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, a member of the Sacred Heart League and the 3rd Order of St. Francis. Carmen was always very helpful in fund raising for all church functions. She loved to dance and sing and will be deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her. She is survived by her stepdaughter Arlene Ruth Vinesky of El Mirage, AZ; brothers Gabriel Paz and wife Lorraine and George M. Paz and wife Angela all of Las Cruces; sister Fannie Paz Serna of Las Cruces; grandchildren Lawrence A. Vinesky Jr and Daniel A. Vinesky and by many nieces, nephews. Carmen was preceded in death by her husband Albert Anglikowski and by brothers Ben Paz, Dr. Raymond M. Paz and Edward Paz. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7:00 PM. The funeral mass is at 10:00 AM Friday, March 11, 2005 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church with Msgr. John Anderson officiating. Rite of Committal will be at San Jose Catholic Cemetery.
