Maria Lus Aguilera Rojas, 48, passed away on September 14,2021 in Las Cruces, NM. Maria Lus was born June 6, 1973 in Deming NM to Francisco and Maria Aguilera. She is survived by her husband, Manuel Rojas of 25 years and their 5 children; Christopher (wife Karla), Steven (fianc Lupita), and three daughters Andrea, Cristina, Stephanie; her mother Maria de Jesus Aguilera, her four sisters Ana Ornelas (husband Rudy), Juanita Ornelas (husband Alfonso Jr.), Rosa L. Plowman (husband Rodney), Mary E. Alvarez (husband Christopher J.), one brother, Francisco Aguilera Jr. (wife Ivette), and countless nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Francisco Aguilera and sister Candelaria Aguilera. Maria was a loving person, always open to help another and always ready to make fun memories. She made sure to instill these principles in her children as she raised them. She was a caregiver for her daughter Cristina and never had any issues putting her daughters needs before her own. Maria was someone that could instantly change a person's mood just with her infectious laugh or her hugs that could take away the sad days of her family and friends. She was always willing to try to help with whatever you may need. Maria was always ready to entertain. Some of Maria's favorite things to do were drinking coffee in the morning and inviting her family and a couple friends over for dinner and a game night, no matter what day of the week it was. She was a lover of holidays and was eager to decorate the home for each one every year, Christmas being her favorite. Many people knew Maria through her own crafts and hobbies that she would make and sell locally as well as for being a Tupperware consultant for many years in Las Cruces. She would set up at the farmers market on Saturday morning and was eager to meet new people and catch up with other craft market regulars. Visitation for Maria will be held from 9 AM to 10 AM at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, NM on Friday October 1st, 2021. Rosary and Funeral liturgy to follow starting at 10 AM.
