Maria Elena Diaz

With sadness in our hearts, we announce the departure of Maria N. Diaz who joined our heavenly father on January 20th, 2022. Born on August 18,1940 she lived a joyful life she loved to sew and knit, every morning she woke up and read the bible, a lover of nature shows. Maria loved to spend time with family and call them every day. She left four surviving daughters, Elena Aguilar, Silvia Aguilar, Gavina Aguilar, and Ana Aguilar and two sons Luis Aguilar and Ezequiel Aguilar. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Matilde N. Leon and father Cecilio Nevarez, three sisters Marcela and Petra Nevarez and Maria Concepcion Aguilar. Three daughters, Eva Aguilar, Elizabeth Aguilar, Erica Aguilar. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 5-7 pm, and Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 10 am at Getz Funeral Home (1410 E Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, NM). Burial to follow at Masonic Cemetery (760 S Compress Rd, Las Cruces, NM). First Visitation
