Maria C. Delgado

Maria C. Delgado, 80 years old of Las Cruces, NM died Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at her home. She was born April 20, 1926 in Rincon, New Mexico to Teodora and Refugia Carabajal. A life long area resident, Maria was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic Church. She was a loving mother who was deeply devoted to her family. Maria is survived by her husband Lorenzo of home; one son, Lorenzo Delgado Jr and his wife Noemi of Picacho, NM; four daughters, Anita Frietze; Cecilia Uranga and her husband Robert; Erlinda Martinez and Mando; and Vickie Delgado and Michael all of Las Cruces, NM. One brother, Albert Carabajal and three sisters, Rosa Rel; Delia Munoz; Vickie Martinez and a sister in law Lucy Carabajal all of Las Cruces also survive her. Maria also is survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ramon Delgado and Ernesto Delgado. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, September 15, 2006 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel where the Prayer Vigil will follow at 7 PM. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 9 AM on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church, 1178 N. Mesquite. Burial will follow in the Dona Ana Cemetery. Officiating will be Fathers from the Order of Augustinian Recollects. Serving, as pallbearers will be Robert Uranga, Ruben Bustamante, Larry Bustamante, Johnny Bustamante, Anthony Hernandez, Richard Frietze, Lucas Verdugo, and Jesse Monsivaiz. PDF Printable Version
