Marcos M. Infante

Marcos M. Infante, 83, of Las Cruces, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012. He was born Dec. 26, 1928 in El Paso, TX to Alfonso and Carmen Moncada Infante. Marcos was very well known throughout the Mesilla Valley a builder of rock walls. He had been a member of the Catholic Community and attended Our Lady of Health, Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral and St. Genevieve's Catholic Church where he was active in the prayer meetings and helped in any way he could. He is survived by his sons Marcos Jr. and wife Debra, Johnnie, Alfonso, Hector, Antonio and Christopher Infante; daughters Yolanda Cruz and husband Roberto, RoseAnn Wireman and husband Thomas, Patricia Guerra and husband Hilario and Carla Jaramillo and husband Albert. Also surviving him are many grand and great-grandchildren and his sister Petra Garcia. A visitation will be held from 6 to 6:30 pm on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church where a rosary will follow at 7 pm. A funeral mass to celebrate his life will be at 11:30 am on Monday, Aug. 27, 2012 also at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church with Fr. Narciso Rivera officiating. Rite of Committal will be at Masonic Cemetery. The honor of being a pallbearer is Robert and Mike Cruz, Steven, Gary and Sean Infante and Mark Wireman. Honorary Pallbearers are Dominic Infante, Samuel (King Fish) Cruz and Thomas Wireman. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Alzheimer's Association, Ambercare Hospice.
