Manuel Badial Pacheco Sr.

Manuel Badial Pacheco Sr., 78, loving Father and Grandfather entered eternal life on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. He was born August 14, 1934 in Las Cruces, NM to Juan Pacheco and Socorro Badial. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral in Las Cruces, NM. Manuel was employed by the Las Cruces Public Schools for 29 years. He was a Custodial Supervisor for 14 years during his time with the Las Cruces Public Schools. In his early years, he coached the Lucero Angels boys baseball team and won one City Championship. His love of baseball continued after coaching as he umpired many baseball games. Manuel was also an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He also had great love for his cat, Cheetara. He will be missed deeply by his family and his Caregivers, Maria Leyva, Patsy Sanchez, Christina Escarcega and Isabel Pacheco. Manuel is survived by his children. Manuel Pacheco Jr. and wife Sheila Dale-Pacheco, Carmen Pacheco and Mary DiMatteo. Also surviving are his 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7pm on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Getz Funeral Home in Las Cruces, NM with his Rosary to follow at 7pm. Manuel's Funeral Mass to celebrate his eternal life is at 10am on Monday, March 4, 2013 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral with Fr. Tom Smith officiating.
