Luisa B. Ortega

Luisa B. Ortega 64, and a native of Anthony, NM, lost her battle against Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS) on Tuesday, December 28, 2010. She was born on October 26, 1946 to Augustin and Paulina Ortega in Anthony, NM. She was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter Norma O. Pfeiffer and an affectionate grandmother to her grandchildren, Janai, Jessey and Joaquin Pfeiffer and to her son-in-law, Jeff Pfeiffer. She was also known as "Mommy" to all her nieces and nephews and family members. She is survived by her mother, Paulina Ortega of Anthony, her two sisters, Lily Montoya and Irene Ortega both of Anthony and her four brothers, Ismael Ortega of Anthony, Augustin Ortega Jr. of Las Cruces, Jesus Ortega of Colorado and Fidel Ortega of Anthony. Other survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her loved ones, Augustin Ortega, Viola Ortega, and Companion Florencio Martin. Luisa was dedicated to 30 years of Civil Service at Fort Bliss, White Sands Missile Range, and retired from the Dept. of Justice FCI La Tuna in Anthony, NM. She was also dedicated to selling Mary Kay till the end. PDF Printable Version
