Lucille (Lucy) Vallejos 84, of Alamogordo, NM, passed away February 25, 2022. Lucy was born in San Antonio, Texas to Andrew and Bobbie Valdespino-Gill in 1937. She worked for AAFES as an Administrative professional on Holloman AFB for more than 20 years. In retirement, she enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo and spending time with family. Lucy is survived by two daughters Rosemary Rogers and Josie Munoz of Alamogordo and a special cousin Bobbie Jo Valdespino-Canter also of Alamogordo, three granddaughters, Cynthia Johnson (James) of Dodge City, KS, Donna Hodnett (Renardo) of Alamogordo and Kimberlee Vera (Tyson) of San Diego, CA and six great grandchildren, Cedric Rogers, Malakhi, Quinn and Cole Hodnett, Haylee Olds, Ari Rose Mollison, and many cousins and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Kino and son Michael. A memorial service is scheduled beginning at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Getz Funeral Home Chapel, 1410 E. Bowman Ave. Las Cruces NM 88001. Inurnment will follow at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Honorary pallbearers are David Rogers, Dennis Canter, Higinio Valdespino, James Johnson, Renardo Hodnett, Tyson Mollison, Cedric Rogers, and Malakhi Hodnett.
