Louis F. Lee

Louis F. (Sonny) Lee Jr. went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2017. Louis is survived by his wife Ramona, his son Louis (Fran), Chris (Zandra) and John (Marcy). He is also survived his sister Gloria Martin, Margaret (Nick) Zuniga, Mary Murrillo (Junior), Irma Lee and his large family and friends who he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents Luis D. Lee Sr. & Antonia Fouillet Lee, his brother Walter and granddaughter Lauren. Louis was born in Las Cruces on December 23, 1938 to Luis and Antonia Lee. He attended Holy Cross Catholic School and graduated from Las Cruces High in 1957. After graduating high school he served honorably in the United Stated Army. He then spent over 25 years working for Piggly Wiggly, and later went to work for Defense Commissary Agency where he retired as the Commissary Officer at White Sands. Louis and Ramona were married for 54 years. In addition to his three sons he was blessed with 4 grandchildren. He was tremendously proud of his grandsons: Christopher who is currently serving in the U.S Navy and Louis Alan (Kiley) who is currently serving in the U.S Army. He adored his only granddaughter Andrea and was proud she is scheduled to graduate from NMSU in May. Louis was also looking forward to seeing his youngest grandson Gabriel graduate from high school this year. He was a member of the Catholic Church and a proud parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe. He lived in Tortugas for over 50 years and was a proud Tortugueno. Funeral services and military ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday February 21, at 10am at our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Tortugas with a reception to follow. Pall Bearers will be his grandchildren, Christopher, Andrea, Louis Alan, Kiley and Gabriel. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Joe Garcia, Arturo Mease, Mo Alderete, Lorenzo Marin, Rudy Apodaca and Frank Casuas. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Louis' life.
