Louis B. Rel

On his 81st birthday, Saturday, April 25,2009 our beloved brother Louis Rel, went home to Our Heavenly Father. Louie as most of his friends knew him, was born in Rodey, NM, but lived most of his life in Las Cruces. Louie served in the Army during World War II. His parents were the late Merced & Maria Rel. He leaves behind his brothers; Albert, Joe, Tony and Henry and six sisters; Mary Cervantes, Frances Mascarenas, Ida Leyva, Tina Garcia, Lupe Lucero, and Gina Rivera. Visitation for Louie will begin at 5PM with the Rosary at 7PM on Thursday on April 30, 2009 at Getz Funeral Home. Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart Cathedral at 10 AM on Friday, May 1, 2009.The rite of committal and interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery where he will be laid to his eternal rest.
