Linda L Havenor

Linda L. Havenor, 75, of Las Cruces, died Sunday July 26, 2015, while surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born October 28, 1939, in Allen Township of Crow Wing County Minnesota, to Alfred and Sara Hardy. She later met and married the love of her life, Everett E. Havenor on September 19, 1959. Linda and Everett shared a love of camping, water skiing, snow skiing, traveling and a deep love for nature, she loved to garden and soon developed a passion for Butterflies, she even had an entire room in her home called "The Butterfly Room". Linda loved animals of all kinds but she had a soft spot in her heart for "Kitty Cats". Linda was such a very special person and nothing meant more to her than her family. She was happiest talking about her experiences being a wife, mother and grandmother, and sharing many very special times with her friends the "Magnolias". She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Everett Havenor, of the family home. Son, Derron Havenor and wife Marnie Havenor of, Albuquerque, NM. Daughter, Lucinda Havenor and Husband Bobby Bentley Jr., of Las Cruces, NM. Sister, Blanche McArdle, of Grand Rapids, MN. Brother Lorne Hardy of Cross Lake, MN. Brother-in-law Bruce Havenor and wife Mary of Las Cruces, NM. Three grandchildren, Hunter, Mackenna and Bohde Havenor, of Albuquerque, NM . Linda was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Alfred and Sara Hardy, Sister, Madge Dunn and Brother, Todd Hardy. Memorial services will be held at Getz Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in her name to the Dona Ana County Humane Society, PO Box 1176, Las Cruces NM 88004. Arrangements have been entrusted to Getz Funeral Home and Getz Family Crematory 1410 E. Bowman Ave, Las Cruces NM, 88001.
