Life Legacy

February 22, 1947 — July 14, 2017

Patricia Lou Thompson also known as Patti or Trish, passed away July 14, 2017 at the age of 70, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Patti was born February 22, 1947 to Marshall and Bobby Thompson. She grew up in Las Cruces with her parents and brother James Thompson, when it was still a Western town. Together with her parents, brother, aunts, uncles and many cousins, Patti enjoyed the many treasures of New Mexico, including boating and fishing in T or C, driving jeeps through the mesas in search of arrowheads, old bottles and other unexpected treasures. In high school, Patti was known to her peers as the "Brain," a real prodigy. She sang, played viola, guitar and played the violin as a member of the El Paso Symphony. An adventurous spirit took her to California after High School, where she opened herself to many adventures, from many aspects of the "hippie culture" to working as a computer tech for an upscale company in San Francisco. With her long-term mate, Michael Flower she returned to live on the east mesa near Las Cruces, 34 years ago. Michael and she lived a quiet life together, enjoying their dogs and garden. She lived life her way. Patti is preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Bobby Thompson and love of her life Michael Flower. She leaves behind her brother James Thompson (Elaine LeVine), two nephews, Marshall Aaron Thompson (Afton) and Randall Dylan Thompson, her great-niece Evelyn Rose Thompson, her only remaining uncle and namesake Pat Harrelson as well as many cousins and old friends. Family and friends will celebrate Patti's life in a private ceremony. The family asks that donations be made to the Animal Sanctuary in her memory. PDF Printable Version
