Manuel V. Lopez, 93, of Las Cruces died Friday, June 23, 2017 at La Posada. Manuel was born July 2, 1923 in Mesilla, New Mexico to Cepriano Lopez and Todula Lopez. Manuel was a retired bricklayer. He spent over 50 years with the International Union of Retired Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers. BAC Local #3. He was a parishioner of St. Genevieve's Catholic Church and in the early years Our Lady of Health Catholic Church. He is survived by his children Jesus M. Lopez Sr., Francisco A. Lopez and Wife Virginia, Thomas A. Lopez and wife Dolores, Jerry A. Lopez and wife Leticia, and Anna Marie Crider. Manuel was blessed with 34 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, both Manuela and Ramona were blessed with such great numbers. Manuel was the last surviving member of his family- now a generation of a family has passed. He is preceded in death by his wife Ramona A. Lopez, his parents Cipriano and Todula Lopez. His sons; Manuel A. Lopez, Anthony Rudy Lopez, and Ernesto A. Lopez, His sisters have all passed: in order of passing: Ennis Lopez Martinez (Sister) Juan Lopez (Brother), Pete Lopez (Brother)- Cruz Lopez Morales ( Sister) Rosenda Lopez Rodriguez(Sister)- Carmen Lopez Reta ( Sister) Apaulono Lopez(Brother). A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church at 9:30am, with the Rosary to follow at 10:30am. The Funeral Liturgy will begin at 11:00 A.M, and burial to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry R. Lopez, Debi Lopez, Jacob Lopez, Jalivah Crider, Manny Lopez, Jesus Lopez Jr. and Richard Lopez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rudy Lopez and Jonathan A. Shojari. PDF Printable Version
