Juan R. Zaragoza "Johnny Go-Go", entered into eternal peace on Thursday, November 27, 2014, at La Posada-Mesilla Valley Hospice in Las Cruces, NM, after courageously battling an illness of 2 years. Juan was born on February 4, 1962, to Francisco Zaragoza and Yolanda Barba Enriquez in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. He lived in El Paso, TX for several years before relocating to Las Cruces, NM in 1994 to join his mother and family. In December, 1995, his love of music and dancing led to the meeting of his future wife Maria Cristina Parra and they were married in July, 2000. In 1996, he began working for the County of Dona Ana Road Department as a laborer and worked his way up to light equipment operator during his 14 years of employment. Juan was an enthusiastic Futbol-World Soccer fan and was a Spirit Leader for the El Paso Patriots for several seasons, receiving recognition from the team and coaching staff for his support. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was preceded in death by his: beloved mother, Yolanda Barba Enriquez; father-in-law Jose Inez Parra; brothers Johnny and Ricky Enriquez; sister Ina Guevara; and brother-in-law Jerry Chavez. He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his: loving wife Maria Cristina Parra-Zaragoza; sons Juan Jose (JJ) Zaragoza and Victor Jose (VJ) Brown (Courtney Chadwick): daughters Irayda Zaragoza (Elder Mendoza), Esmeralda (Angel) de la Cruz, Fatima (Arturo) Pena, Agueda (Arturo) Mendoza; brother David (Bugsy) Enriquez; sisters Beatrice Tarango (Paul Garcia), Yolanda Chavez (Belsan "Berber") and Teresa Enriquez and partner Joe Lopez; and dear brother-in-law John Tarango; grandchildren Tara Chadwick and Natalie Renae, Jordyn Marie and Cameron Anthony Brown, Luis and Yeraldin Flores, Navil and Devani Mendoza, Ariel and Andrea Gomez, Heaven Brown and Aritma Pena, Aidiel and Anyara Mendoza; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Juan will always be remembered for his positive, peaceful, easy going personality. He has left a mark on all who knew him here on Earth and we are thankful to have known him. He showed us how to laugh and smile and dance through all the tough times, the ups-and-downs of life. We know his is now dancing in heaven and will always be the life of the party. Rest in peace Tio Juan. At Juan's request, cremation will take place and a private memorial service will occur at a later time. PDF Printable Version
